The Center offers a wide variety of conferences and lectures, most of which offer CEU credit in counseling and social work. Follow the links below to view information on each program. Annual Symposium
The 45th Annual Symposium is scheduled for November 7-8, 2008. Our Distinguished Guest Lecturers are Dorothy L. Cheney, PhD and Robert M. Seyfarth, PhD. Dr. Cheney is a professor of biology and Dr. Seyfarth is a professor of psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. The conference will be held at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Washington, DC. Clinical Conference Series
The Clinical Conferences feature Bowen Center faculty members who address subjects in Bowen theory that are demonstrated in videotaped clinical interviews with families. Counseling and Social Work CEUs are available.
Spring Conference
Conference on Emotional Process in Society is the title for next year's Spring Conference, to be held April 18-19, 2009.

Beyond Blame
Follow the link to view information on our most recent conference. These one day conferences are offered in the fall and spring in the Washington, DC area. They are designed to provide constructive means for understanding and managing oneself in family relationships. The conference features a lecture/discussion format with clinical videotapes to highlight key ideas that are helpful in dealing with important relationships. Counseling and Social Work CEUs are available.
Thursday Professional Lectures
The Thursday Professional lectures are free and open to the public. They feature historians, scientists, and clinicians addressing a variety of topics. Follow the link to see this year's complete schedule.
